Light Folio Theme

Theme Installation

1. Unzip the file you have download, you will find a folder called “LightFolio”.
2. To install the theme you should have already wordpress installed and running on your server. Using FTP, upload the “LightFolio” folder to your web server, and place it in “wp-contents/themes”. So what you’ll have in the end is “wp-contents/themes/LightFolio”
3. Now that you have the theme uploaded you just need to login to your WP admin panel and activate the LightFolio theme in “Appearance > Themes”

Theme Option Page

In your WP admin panel, open “Appearance > LightFolio Options”

1. Change a logo image with your own logo.
   This is the default logo, if you don’t insert your logo image url.
   
2. Change our default slide image with your own image.
   This the default image, if you don’t insert your image url.
3. Choose your three feature category.
   Please fill with your 3 favorite category
4. If you have a problem displaying thumbnail image.
   Please give a check only if your thumbnail image doesn’t appear
5. Reset button.
   Click if for whatever reason you want to “clean up” the settings set here or want to use another theme.

Plugin Installation (optional)

In this theme configuration we use a plugin “Twitter Widget”. Open this link > download, unzip, then upload to your web server, place in “wp-contents/plugins” and activate the plugin from your WP admin panel “Plugins > Installed”

Customization :

Open “Appearance > Widgets” and drag “Twitter” to sidebar then fill the form with configuration with your own setting.

Q and A

1. Why doesn’t my thumbnail images appear?

   Please do checklist below :

   1. Does my post have image?
   2. Is my image on a post, uploaded from my own hosting – Not taken from other site like flickr, deviantart, etc ?
   3. Do I give permission file 777 in folder cache “wp-contents/themes/LightFolio/cache”?
   4. Does my site hosting support already whitelist timthumb.php script?

   If all your answer are “True”, then there shouldn’t be any problem, and your image thumbnail will appear correctly.
   Update : We just add new function in Theme Option panel, if you still have a problem with thumbnail image :).

2. How to activate threaded comment?

   From your WP admin panel “Settings > Discussion” and give check the “enable threaded (nested) comments”

   

3. How to change default favicon?

   Create an image or edit with a size of 32×32 pixels then give the name “favicon.ico” (without the quotes) then upload to your web server, place in “wp-contents/themes/LightFolio/images”

4. How to change default image on slider?

   We add default image on slider, so if you do not enter the url links to images on the page option, then this image will appear.

   

   Of course you can change this picture in accordance with the image you like.
   How to?

   Create an image or edit any image with a size of 700×378 pixels and give the name “thumb.jpg” (without the quotes) then upload to your web server, place in “wp-contents/themes/LightFolio/images”

5. How to change default image on feature category?

   Default this image will be appear if your post doesn’t have an image. You can change this image in accordance with the image you like.

   

   How to?

   Create an image or edit any image with a size of 269×126 pixels and give the name “image.jpg” (without the quotes) then upload to your web server, place in “wp-contents/themes/LightFolio/images”
