sidebar area is reason why i like this theme. cool, simple but modern for me.

Really nice theme! How do the thumbnail images work without a custom field? I added images to two post (one featured, the other not featured) and no images appear on the front page. A ReadMe file would have been helpful.
-
Yes, I added the image directly to the post, using the Image icon above the wysiwig editor. Is that not the right way?
-
Nope, still nothing. When I check the source code on the frontpage, I can see the image url as this:
http://mydomain.com/wp-content/themes/WoodenTheme/scripts/timthumb.php?src=http://mydomain .com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/P1010172-300×225.jpg&h=100&w=240&zc=1 ?>
The script is in wp-content/themes/WoodenTheme/scripts and the cache folder there is chmodded to 755. I tried reuploading the script and chmodding the cache folder to 777, still nothing.
I edited some of the css in the theme but did not touch any html or php – would that matter?
-
Nope. Added a new post after chmodding the theme folder, uploaded a picture from my computer. The images aren’t there – I notice when I check the code with Firebug that it tries to load the image but can’t. Any other ideas?
-
OK – I will try that right away. Hopefully the support will be able to help. If not, I’ll figure out another script to use with a custom field, which I have working on another site on the same server. Thank you

Sorry to be a pain – I just checked another site on the same server is using the Arthemia theme, which also uses timthumb.php and it is working fine (although it uses it with a custom field). Here’s the difference in the two img src urls, first from Wooden, then from Arthemia:
1. http://woodentheme.com/wp-content/themes/WoodenTheme/scripts/timthumb.php?src=http://woodentheme.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/P1010183-300×225.jpg&h=100&w=240&zc=1 ?>
2. http://www.arthemia.com/wp-content/themes/arthemia/scripts/timthumb.php?src=/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/language.medium.jpg&w=300&h=275&zc=1&q=100If I go to the Arthemia img src url, my browser displays the image. If I go to the Wooden img src url, my browser displays this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/username/public_html/domain.com/wp-content/themes/WoodenTheme/404.php on line 3
I’m up for helping figure this out, so all suggestions are most welcome
-
Support got back – chmodding has to be 755 only, which it was initially. I’m going to check the scripts & theme since it works fine on my other site. The images uploaded by WordPress are there but the scripts/cache folder is empty, unlike the theme where timthumb.php is working. I really hope I don’t have to switch to another theme
-
Hey man – I really appreciate your help. I tried uploading the complete theme again and still no images. I checked the .htaccess files and all – still nothing. I’m going to assume it’s a strange, unique problem and try another theme. Thanks for your help

I have installed the Wooden Theme and I really like it however. I have a couple of problems
1) I can get the sidebar of footer to appear on the home page, any suggestions?
2) The only way I can ammend the info in the footer it via the footer.php file is this correct?
Regards
Kiff

Woo hoo that worked, thanks.
One last question,
1) what controls the number of posts on the front page can it be changed??
Regards
K
-
can the color of the nav link block (including the highlight which moves to follow the mouse) be changed? it’s currently green, and I’d like it to match my site color scheme.

Hello
I am trying to intergrate Google Adsense Adverts with the Theme. I am wonder if it is possible to use the 125×125 spaces.
however when I copy the code from Google it does not seem to work, any suggestions
Regards
Chris

That’s a nice theme!! It would be great if it was flexible in main content area as header and footer!
